The Series 60 diesel engine Fuel Temperature Sensor (FTS) is installed into the secondary fuel filter. See Figure "Fuel Temperature Sensor Location (Series 60 Diesel Engine)" . The FTS sends an electrical signal to the ECM indicating fuel inlet temperature. The ECM uses this information to calculate fuel consumption.

On Series 60G engines with the high pressure fuel system the fuel temperature sensor is located in the PSV. See Figure "Fuel Temperature Sensor Series 60G Engine with High Pressure Fuel System" .

The FTS is non-serviceable and should be replaced as a unit. No adjustment is required.
